Mulan

Yesterday I had a "Mulan party" with a friend's two daughters. They had never seen Disney's Mulan because they were so young, so I just had to share it with them! We made butterscotch and white chocolate chip cookies beforehand, then popcorn. As excited as they were about the food, they stopped eating because they were so enveloped by the movie! I was so happy! And afterwards, we all sat down to draw. I drew a simple drawing of Mulan for them and colored it with Prismacolor colored pencils, showing them how to do simple blending.

Sorry about the wrinkles! It was drawn in my sketchbook, which has extremely thin paper and doesn't hold up well to pressure from pencil layering and blending. I also couldn't get rid of them digitally without uglifying the drawing, so I just didn't. It is how it is.
