Final Fantasy XV by YumeSprite Final Fantasy XV by YumeSprite
I was hired by Wootbox France, a geek culture subscription service which sends out themed boxes of mystery items monthly, to draw the promotional illustrations for the month of October 2016. The theme was QUEST. The subjects were video games The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy XV, and Mass Effect. I was purely giddy to have such a theme - and subject matter - to draw. Each of the three drawings had to include one or more main characters within their own universe, kept on separate layers to allow for image resizing and light animations. It was extremely fun to draw something I love so much! Here we have Final Fantasy XV's Noctis and a chocobo, movable characters, in their universe with Titan and Leviathan in the background. Don't worry, I know that Leviathan doesn't fly. Usually. ;)

You can see the animated process on my behance page here.

Love the style of cell-shading you used! It's deceivingly complex, and the colors work together so well. I really like that the highlights you added are subtle; it's not overdone at all, and impacts the piece the way highlights really should.

This is so much fun to look at--thank you for sharing! :D

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad that you're taken with it. :) It was very fun to do, and I admit that colors are very difficult for me. I'm much better at just line work. So thank you!

I can definitely relate! I'm always far more comfortable with just the lineart or sketch process. Colors terrify me (in a good way). Glad to know I'm not alone! :D
